I love ya Bro

Loving this new Kidsclick by Simone. Loads of fun. This weeks theme is "I LOVE ..."

Gave Bubble the camera this morning, a quick lesson - point, click, told her to take photos of things she loves and she was off.

Here is the entry taken by Miss 3 (and three quarters as she tells everyone). Think we will call it

"I Love ya Bro!!"

Other photos taken were cute, but had little fingers on the lens - think some retraining may be needed. I love that she took a photo of her brother (heard her saying: oh and I love you C), but she also took a photo of the TV (which she really does love) along with one of me in my pjs and one of the dog.

Get your kids to enter - check it out here.

Oh, and here is a photo I found on the camera after Rangi had been playing with it...

It says I LOVE playing with this camera when Mummy isn't looking!! This is not an entry, just thought it was sneaky for a 19 month old.

On the move

Jean-Claude has a new job - a promotion at his work (whoop!! he is so clever). Only thing is we need to relocate to Auckland. So we are on the move, on a 2 year contract...

From Goon to JAFA.

Country (ish) to City.

Red & Black to Blue
 - no that won't happen!!

Small to Big

Settled to Starting again.

Friends and family at our beck and call to living in the same city as my sis (first time in at least 15 years!!) who will be leaned on to help us find our feet.

But no question that this is the right thing to do. Although we do worry for our kids, especially Bubble who seems to be slow to adjust to new situations, and is old enough to LOVE her friends.

What do we do with our house? Should we sell or rent our home out? Not sure it will ever be the same once someone else has lived in it, and do we want the worry if tenants leave and we have to cover the mortgage??

Where should we live in Auckland? My sister will be a huge help, but would be good to know from some people with kids as to where is a good place for families.

Sell the ute/keep the ute?? He He I just write that to tease Jean-Claude who is No Way parting with this good old reliable vehicle!!

We will miss our family and friends so much - thank goodness for blogs, facebook, skype and relatively cheap flights. Already have a booking for a weekend in September ;)

There is so much to do I don't even know where to begin. Lots of lists to be made! Think I will just concentrate on writing lists at this stage.

We fly up to Auckland next weekend to suss out areas etc.

Eeeeek - very excited, slightly nervous. But all good.

Typical

...I race up the street with the kids to do a couple of errands. I am wearing a pair of yoga pants that are "snug" but extremely comfy, an old top with a winter coat thrown on top. The coat is in desperate need of a dry clean.

So I'm feeling real stunning - NOT and don't you know it I run into THREE people I haven't seen for ages. And they are all looking gorgeous.

Why don't you run into people when you have just had your hair done, or are on the way somewhere special all dressed up and feeling great??

Hmpf, never mind.

I coped by chattering mindlessly about rubbish.

At least the kids looked good.

On a more positive note, I am pleased with myself. I actually returned a top I had worn and wasn't happy with. It cost $90 and I wore it once and it rubbed and pilled. Normally I would just be really annoyed, but I decided that this time I would do something about it. The shop was fine with it, let me swap it for something else in the store - Yay!!

Sorry no photos again this post - but trust me you really don't want a photo of me dressed in this outfit ;)

Lost

I HATE losing things.
Drives me crazy.
Just ask my family I throw a big tantrum and act completely irrationally.

Unfortunately for me my 19 month old LOVES losing things.
He has his own personal hiding places for things.

We find these hiding places by pure luck.

Some old favs are the beautiful big vase we have in our hallway (fits dummies, toys, chips, pinecones), and out the cat door (jandals, balls, remote, dummies).

New fav place is in the container I stash all the lids to our collection of plastic containers.

But there is another one somewhere in this house!!
How do I know this you may ask????
Because currently missing is Handy Manny and his tools (eeek, this is on loan from the toy library so better turn up soon!) and my cell phone!!

I am NOT happy. Mostly I am mad at how dumb I am. I gave in and let Rangi play with my phone, but after he kept ringing random numbers I took the battery out. Wahoo I think I have outsmart him...but now it is lost, without the battery so ringing it is out of the question - damn!!

I think Rangi outsmarted me!!!!

So the hunt continues - any suggestions of where to look?

Growing fast

My wee man is growing up way too fast!!

Rangi is almost 19 months. Still not a tooth in his mouth and a vocab consisting of Mumma, Daddad, dog, duck, and a few strange sounds.

But he is now in a Big Boy bed (well, his cot converted to a bed) and he thinks he is soooo cool.

Yesterday I found him having a bit of quiet time reading in his bed.

Oh and I am officially finished feeding!!
Rangi was only on a quick 2 minute feed before bed at night, but since Saturday that is all finished. He is OK with it, but taking FOREVER to go to sleep. But yay I no longer have to be dairy free.
I celebrated this by eating some Lindt chocolate, it was okay. Am looking forward to other yummy treats (like homebaking - hint hint).

Fairy running race

Awww - so cute!
My wee Bubble at a friend's birthday party in Dec 08. She was almost 2 and a half.
Coming in second to last in the running race - there are at least half a dozen fairies out in front.
It's a L O N G way when you have such little legs, but Bubble keeps on going and smiles the whole time - bless her.

Don't you love her tutu and winged leotard.

This is my entry for this weeks Sailor & Company RAW(e) photo comp.

Wahoo

Boy do I love courier vans and the parcels they deliver. Usually I know what is coming (probably a rare online purchase), but today I have no idea what the dog is Barking at.

Guess what? It is a parcel for me. A wee parcel containing a PRIZE from Mindfood magazine!!!

A Lancome Absolu Lip Creme $58...I wouldn't spend that much on my lips so what a treat.

And do you know how much I needed something like this today (not the lip creme, but a surprise to brighten my day)?

So WAHOO for me, and wahoo for Mindfood mag and their great choice in random prize giving.

I'm off to beautify my smile (even though my hair is not done and I have no make up on and I am wearing my fat girl jeans and I feel like crap and I just wanna crawl into bed...)

Hope someone, or something makes you feel special today.
